What follows is the kind of story that is difficult to explain without sounding slightly mad: Victor begins to change, gradually and then all at once, in ways he can't account for. He's warmer in the cold, faster in the mornings, and somehow — embarrassingly, undeniably - getting taller. His closest friend Astrid, a fashion influencer with a sharp eye for the remarkable, is the first to notice what he is becoming. She may also be the reason he starts to think it might not be such a bad thing.
